Babar Azam overtakes Virat Kohli to become No1 ODI batsman

The International Cricket Council released its weekly rankings on Wednesday. According to the latest ICC men’s ODI rankings, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has overtaken Indian skipper Virat Kohli to become the No1 batsman.
According to cricket statistician Saj Sadiq, after Zaheer Abbas, Mohammad Yousuf and Javed Miandad, Babar Azam has become the 4th Pakistani batsman to reach number 1 spot in the ICC ODI rankings.
The latest ICC rankings show that the second and third berths in ODI are occupied by Indian batsmen, Kohli and Rohit Sharma respectively. While, Fakhar Zaman has jumped to seventh spot with his recent spectacular performances against South Africa.
Since the start of 2019, Babar has made 1,541 runs with five centuries, at the strike rate of 67.00.
