Babar and Rizwan face off in the first match of PSL 7
Karachi: The seventh edition of Pakistan Super League will start from tomorrow at the National Stadium in Karachi in which the defending champions Multan Sultans will face the 2020 champions Karachi Kings.
Babar Azam, who holds the record for most T20 wins in a calendar year 2021, will lead the Karachi Kings. Mohammad Rizwan, the first batsman to score more than 1000 T20 runs in a calendar year, will lead the Multan Sultans.
Babar Azam is ecstatic to be leading the Karachi Kings this season. This will be my first time captaining a team in the PSL, and I am excited about it.
Karachi King’s captain Babar Azam said that in first match of the tournament there are always a lot of spectators and Multan Sultans can be a strong opposition. I am sure that the fans will get to see a thrilling match, and Karachi Kings will play good and competitive cricket this season.
Multan Sultan captain Mohammad Rizwan said that we have all the capabilities to defend our title and we will enter the field with the same enthusiasm tomorrow. This season will present new challenges for us and we have to plan accordingly.
He added, Babar Azam is a great batsman and captain and his leadership will definitely have a good impact on Karachi Kings. I hope PSL 7 will start with a great competition between the two teams.
