‘Baaji’ to be screened at Vancouver International Film Festival

Saqib Malik’s super hit film “Baaji” is slated to be screened at the Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival (VISAFF). The film ran successfully at the DC South Asian Film Festival and the Mosaic International Film Festival.
The film has won the Grand Jury Prize at the Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival and many accolades including Best Supporting Actor at the Mosaic International Film Festival.
The movie stars Meera in the lead role alongside Osman Khalid Butt, Amna Ilyas, Ali Kazmi and Nayyar Ejaz.
Speaking to CBC Arts, festival director, Arshad Khan described the film as a Lollywood masala. “It’s a very subversive film. The heroes are all women. It’s very feminist and a very self-reflexive film.”
The news was shared on Instagram by the team of the film where they revealed that it will be screened on the 16th of November.
