Azad Kashmir’s Mangla Bridge reopens for tourists
After three months of closure due to the novel coronavirus, Azad Jammu and Kashmir ‘s government reopened its Mangla Bridge for tourists Friday.
This was done after Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged the countrywide reopening of the tourism industry.
A notification was issued after which private and public vehicles are permitted to cross the bridge amid SOPs. Travelers will be asked to provide their information at points of entry and exit.
Tourists arriving in Kashmir will need to be screened at the bridge and wearing masks. No more than three people will be allowed to drive in a single time for private cars.
Strict implementation of the social distancing rules is also required. Those who disobey the SOPs will be disciplined.
So far Azad Jammu and Kashmir have reported 285 cases of COVID-19
