Ayesha Omar is currently shooting Dhai Chaal alongside Shamoon Abbasi. The film will show the hardships experienced by the people in the region, especially the missing-persons situation.

“The story is about the sacrifices of people in Balochistan, who went through a lot of trouble to reinstate peace in the region,” Ayesha Omar told sources.

The Bulbulay actor explained that she will be playing a journalist trying to uncover the real story behind the happenings in Balochistan.

While Shamoon will be playing an Indian RAW agent. His character is based on Kulbhushan Jadhav, the Indian national. He is appointed in Balochistan under the guise of a businessman to create chaos in the region and sabotage China-Pak relations. He will also be playing Ayesha’s love interest in the film.

“Jadhav attacks police academies and influential ministers that were working hard to bring peace in the region,” Shamoon said.

Adnan Shah Tipu, Rasheed Naz, Saleem Mairaj, Humayun Ashraf, Pakiza Khan are amongst the cast of the film, along with local talent from Balochistan.

“We have students from Balochistan’s universities who are working as interns. They are all very respectful, sweet, and talented,” explained Ayesha.

When asked why she chose this film, the Bulbulay actor said, “The story is very authentic and original. All these people are putting in their heart and soul, especially producer Dr Irfan Ashraf.”

Dr. Irfan Ashraf is an anchor who has been working in Balochistan for the past 15 years. “No one was ready to show the true side of what is really happening in Balochistan. Irfan, having studied there, chose to do it,” she said.

“Whether it’s providing cars, food, locations to shoot at, a lot of people have been helping him just for the love of their region and his dedication towards his work,” Ayesha explained.

The film will be directed by Taimoor Sherazi and has been written by Faiza Choudhry.

It is expected to release in February 2020.
