Melbourne: Cricket Australia has postponed the ODI series against Afghanistan and the three-match ODI series against New Zealand until 2021-22 due to the coronavirus.
According to the details, the only test scheduled between Australia and Afghanistan was canceled due to Coronavirus. The Test match was to be hosted by Perth in November, but due to Corona, the first T20 World Cup and a short series against the West Indies in preparation for it have also been postponed.
Cricket Australia says it has become extremely difficult to arrange Test matches with Afghanistan and Test series with New Zealand during the global epidemic. Cricket Australia has assured that the tour of Afghanistan and New Zealand will be scheduled before the end of Australia 2023.
The series against India has also been called into question after the new wave of Corona in Australia. Details of the four Tests, three ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals between Australia and India will be confirmed soon, the statement said. However, Cricket Australia is working hard to ensure a series with India.
