Australian Cricket star Andrew Symonds dies in car accident

Former Australia all-rounder and two-time World Cup winner Andrew Symonds 46, has died following a car accident in Queensland on Saturday.
According to a foreign news agency, 46-year-old former Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds had an accident on Saturday night when his car overturned due to high speed.
Police said that immediately after the accident, the local emergency personnel tried to rescue him but he could not survive.
Many famous players have expressed their grief over his death. In a tweet last night, former Australian cricketer Jason Gillespie said, “Horrendous news to wake up to. Utterly devastated. We are all gonna miss you mate.”
Former Pakistan’s fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, while sharing his picture, wrote, “Devastated to hear about Andrew Symonds passing away in a car crash in Australia. We shared a great relationship on & off the field. Thoughts & prayers with the family.”
Notably, Andrew Symonds played his first ODI against Pakistan in 1998 while he played 26 Tests and 198 ODIs in his career.
He was considered to be an aggressive batsman and good bowler while he was also known for his good fielding.
Born in Birmingham, UK, Andrew Symonds started playing cricket in his school days and started his career playing club cricket in 1993/94.
He has played county cricket for England county cricket clubs as well as Lancashire and Surrey, and holds the record for most sixes in the county, which was broken by Ben Stokes last week.
It is believed that this incident is being termed as a big blow to sports after the death of Shane Warne.
