Athiya Shetty’s handmade wedding lehenga took 10,000 hours to make

Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty and Indian cricketer KL Rahul tied the knot on Monday in an intimate ceremony.
The bride wore a beautiful subtle pink chikankari lehenga by Anamika Khanna for the special day.
While talking with Vogue India, designer Anamika Khanna said, “we’ve used silks for her main outfit and we’ve also used silk organza for her veil and her dupatta”. The designer revealed that the bride’s outfit “is a labour of love and took approximately 10,000 hours to make.”
Anamika also talked about the inspiration behind the wedding lehenga and revealed it was the bride herself.
“Athiya’s got extremely fine, subtle, and beautiful taste. I wanted to develop something special for her that was resonant with the fact that she was going to be the bride, but she was never going to be that bride for whom everything else takes over. She has a very strong personality, and I think she’s acutely aware of it”.
The designer is sure that “it is not an outfit she will get bored of even in the coming years”.
