At least 8 people killed as a  boat capsized in Keenjhar lake

More than 10 people drowned when a boat capsized in Keenjhar Lake in Thatta in which the bodies of 8 people were recovered.

Rescue operations are underway to find other drowning people.

According to the Sehwan Hospital administration, the bodies of 8 people have been brought so far, including 7 women and a child.

The boat was carrying more than 10 people, including women and children, while the dead were from the Mahmoodabad area of ​​Karachi. The victim’s family had come from Karachi to Thatta Kanjhar Lake for a picnic.

Taking notice of the incident, the Sindh Chief Minister sought a report from DC Thatta. Murad Ali Shah said that the loss of life in the accident is painful.
