At least 13 injured in Balochistan’s Khuzdar blast

At least 13 people were injured in a blast near the Umar Farooq Chowk in Khuzdar district of Balochistan on Monday night, police officials said.

SHO Khuzdar Muhammad Jan Sasoli said that a bomb was planted in a motorcycle at Umar Farooq Chowk in the jurisdiction of Khuzdar City police station. He added that the injured have been shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital.

Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo condemned the attack and imposed an emergency in hospitals across the city.

“Terrorists who target innocent people are enemies of the nation. No religion or society gives permission for this bloodshed,” he said in a statement.

Earlier on December 10, a citizen was martyred and seven others including women and children were injured in an explosion in the shopping mall in Awaran region of Balochistan.

On November 30, four people including a policeman were martyred as a result of a suicide blast carried out by the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) near a Balochistan Constabulary truck in Baleili area of Quetta.
