At least 10 FIRs lodge by KE against miscreants involved in attack on offices
Karachi Electric (KE) has registered at least 10 FIRs in different police stations in the last few days against people who attacked the power supplier’s offices during protest against prolonged power outages.
According to KE, to ensure safety and security of staff and property, strict action is being taken against all miscreants who are involved in violent activities in different areas of the city.
At least 10 FIRs have been registered in the local police stations and the law enforcement agencies are making arrests after identifying the suspects involved in the attacks on the offices through CCTV footages and other means.
KE spokesperson said: “Attacks on KE premises and staff members are condemnable and disrupt the utility’s operations as well as the city. Furthermore, eligible customers seeking resolution of their legitimate complaints are also deprived of access to the company through the actions of a few violent individuals.”
“We are grateful to the Civil Administration and the law enforcement agencies for extending their fullest support and cooperation in keeping our people and properties safe,” he added.
Four persons involved in the attacks have been arrested while further investigations are underway.
