Asrar Shah, a self-made artist and the Sufi singer released his new track “India” on August 13th.
Known for his scruffy looks and inclination towards Sufism, Asrar gained mass recognition after his Coke Studio performance and even gained popularity for his work across the border with Afghan Jalebi that was Kabir Khan’s movie Phantom.
After consecutive hit songs from phool khil jaen to peedan, Asrar released his new track “India” a day before Pakistan’s independence day. The song hid a message for both the countries which are at a great tension after India scrapped Article 370.
“Tou kia jhagra Kashmir se, Ranjha tou sab ka sanjha hai”
Through the lyrics, Asrar tried to give a peacful message to booth the neighboring countries and to stop fighting over Kashmir, as the valley belongs to both of them.
It is a commendable initiative by Asrar Shah to spread love and peace among India and Pakistan.
