Askari Park renamed as Kashmir Park to express solidarity with Kashmiris

Karachi: Expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri people, Askari Park on University Road has been named after Kashmir.
On Kashmir Day, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) paid homage to the Kashmiri people’s spirit of freedom while Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab unveiled a plaque bearing the name of Kashmir Park.
Kashmir Solidarity Day is being celebrated all over the world including Pakistan today in support of the right of self-determination of the occupied Kashmiris and against the atrocities of the Indian occupying forces.
On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, special rallies, meetings, protests and seminars are being organized by social, political and religious organizations across the country.
Apart from this, Pakistani citizens all over the world are also organizing various events to show solidarity with Kashmiris.
In this regard, special events are being organized in Pakistani embassies and consulates all over the world, through which the international community is being made aware of the importance of Kashmir issue and the atrocities being perpetrated by the Indian Army.
