Ashraf Rahi passes away at the age of 65

LAHORE: Renowned stage and TV actor Ashraf Rahi passed away on Wednesday after suffering a cardiac arrest.
According to details, the actor was rushed to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) at 8:00 pm where he took his last breath. Rahi was battling Hepatitis C and diabetes for many years.
Previously, Ashraf Rahi was admitted to one of Lahore’s private hospitals, but shifted back to his home after failing to afford the expenses.
Ashraf Rahi had worked in over 3,000 stage productions. Some his popular plays are Sawa Sair, Bara Maza Ayeaga, Double Sawari and Waris Shah Noun.
His roles in Ainak Wala Jin and Khufiya Jazeera are among his best performances. He had also worked in a Punjabi movie Mehndi Wale Hath opposite Veena Malik.
