Army soldier embraces martyrdom fighting terrorists in North Waziristan

RAWALPINDI: Lance Naik Irshad Khan has embraced shahadat in an encounter with terrorists in North Waziristan.

According to the media wing of armed forces, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces spotted movement of terrorists in North Waziristan and as soon the Quick Reaction Force cordoned the area, terrorists opened fire.

Shaheed Lance Naik Irshad Khan was resident of Jamrud district.

On Apr 10, seven terrorists were killed in an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) of the security forces in Zakir Khel area of North Waziristan, media wing of the armed forces had reported on Friday night.

The ISPR had said two soldiers also embraced martyrdom during the exchange of fire.

Sepoy Momin Shah Shaheed, 23, belonged to village Garra Hayat in Dera Ismail Khan, while Sepoy Muhammad Sajid Shaheed, 31, belonged to village Abdul Jabba, Banda Pir Abbottabad.
