RAWALPINDI: Spokesperson of the armed forces, Director General Inter Services Public Relations Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar on Friday said Pakistan Army had decided not to take internal security (IS) allowance on the duty performed for combating coronavirus epidemic.
“The money could be spent by the government on the people suffering from coronavirus in the country,” Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar said while addressing a press briefing in Rawalpindi. He said army had summoned the entire reservists to augment capability of army medical corps.
He said on directive of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa all available resources would be utilized during Ramadan to provide relief to the masses and help the civil administration.
He busted the Indian propaganda against Muslims. He said an epidemic saw no race, religion, caste or creed. He said India deliberately targeted Muslim population in India.
“India tried to spread fake news which has been criticized by the world. I salute Pakistani media in spreading awareness about coronavirus,” he said adding that RSS laws violated all international laws.
Babar Iftikhar said India had violated the Line of Control (LOC) ceasefire agreement 406 times since inception of coronavirus.
