Armed forces are playing important role for national integrity: Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial said that Pakistan’s armed forces are playing an important role for the country’s integrity. The rules of the Armed Forces of Pakistan are also enshrined in the Constitution. The Pakistan Army has always played its full role in natural calamities like floods and earthquakes.
A 49-member delegation of Command and Staff College Quetta led by Lieutenant Colonel Hashim Iqbal Bajwa called on Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial. The Chief Justice presented an overview of the Constitution of Pakistan to the delegation and provided information on the triangle of powers.
The Chief Justice briefed the delegation on the system of justice, provision of justice, jurisdiction of courts across the country and fundamental constitutional rights. The Chief Justice said that due to the 25th amendment, the integration of districts in KP would lead to rule of law.
There was also a question and answer session of the participants. The delegation presented a shield to Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial. Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial also presented a shield to the delegation.
