APTMA donates Rs50m, Edhi Foundation Rs10m to PM’s Covid-19 Relief Fund
ISLAMABAD: A delegation of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad and presented cheque worth 50 million rupees for Prime Minister’s Corona Relief Fund.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Edhi Foundation, Faisal Edhi also called on the prime minister and presented cheque worth 10 million rupees for the Fund.
The prime minister appreciated the APTMA and Edhi Foundation over their generous donation into Covid-19 Relief Fund.
In a tweet on Thursday, Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said the war against coronavirus cannot be won without people’s support and cooperation.
She said people should act as responsible citizens and observe precaution. She said protection against coronavirus was possible only through preventive measures.
The special assistant said all citizens would have to ensure a balance between rights and duties. “We appeal that people should strictly implement precautionary measures and social distancing,” he said.
