The special assistant wondered if the opposition parties, which ruined the national economy when in power, wanted to further add to the miseries of the people. She said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party were responsible for the problems faced by the country.
In an interview with a private news channel, Dr Firdous said the ruling party would get the federal budget passed on the basis of its numerical majority in the National Assembly.
However, she said, the government wished to engage with the opposition to steer the country out of crisis.
