Apple unveils iPhone 12
Apple on Tuesday unveiled iPhone 12 series with 5G technology during the event streamed live online on apple.com at 10 am PDT (10 pm Pakistan time).
Apple usually launches its phones in September but it was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. It did reveal some Apple Watches and iPads during a mid-September event though.
At the launch of the new iPhone, Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook said since its launch iPhone 11 had been the most popular phone in the world for its camera and advanced technology. He said the next generation of iPhone was being launched with 5G technology.
5G will bring new level of performance online. You can get higher speed network in denser population area. 5g makes iPhone faster.
The iPhone 12 comes in black, white, red, green and blue. Its size is 6.1. It is designed keeping 5G in mind. It has Super retina XDR display. It has twice as many pixels as iPhone 11. The other features that iPhone introduces are Dolby Vision speaker, Ceramic Shield that goes beyond glass and makes iPhone more durable — up to four times more protected. It features computational photography.
Apple also launched HomePod speaker on this occasion which is powered with S5 chip. It produces 360 degree sound. You can enjoy sound throughout your house. Siri makes it smart. In past three years Siri has become faster and more précis and Siri’s deep integration with IPhone makes it stand apart.
HomePod can control multiple accessories with one voice. It serves as Intercom as well which forwards your voice from one minipod to another. It comes in white and space grey colors for 99 dollars. It will be available next month.
