An anti-polio drive has been launched in 25 districts of Balochistan, including Quetta, after a clear reduction in the spread of the coronavirus.
The campaign aims to immunize more than 2,098,000 children against polio. This is the first anti-polio campaign against the Corona epidemic for which special SOPs have also been implemented.
UC10, the polio team in charge, says they are using masks and gloves and have launched a campaign under SOPs.
According to Rashid Razzaq, in-charge of the Emergency Operations Center, special measures are being taken to persuade parents to deny 1.5 percent polio.
16 cases of polio have been reported in the province this year. The six-day polio campaign will continue on August 22.
