On Saturday afternoon, a protest load shedding in Bannu turned violent, police fire tear-gas shells on the protesters.

According to details, the residents of Baka Khel attacked Power House No 2 after unscheduled load shedding in the area. The protesters damaged the gate and threw rock at the main structure.

To stop the protest, the police in response fired tear-gas shells into the crowd of protesters, causing a few of them to faint. The protesters say they are tired of unscheduled load shedding. They believe their electricity share is being given to other cities of the country.
