Another victory for Qalandars! Lahore Qalanadars smashed Islamabad United by 8 runs
Karachi: In the 12th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL 7), Lahore Qalandars defeated Islamabad United by 8 runs after a thrilling contest.
According to the details, in pursuit of the target of 175 runs, Islamabad United scored 166 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Even half-centuries from Colin Munro (60) and Captain Shadab Khan (52) could not save the team from defeat.
Apart from them, Asif Ali and Paul Stirling were dismissed for 14, and Alex Hales for 11 runs.
For Lahore Qalandars, Haris Rauf took two wickets while Shaheen Afridi, Zaman Khan and Rashid Khan took one wicket each.
Earlier, Islamabad United won the toss and elected to field first. Lahore scored 174 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
For Lahore, Abdullah Shafiq (44), Fakhar Zaman (38), Harry Brook (37) and David Wiese (20) were the standouts.
For Islamabad, Shadab Khan and Waqas Maqsood took 4 wickets each while Mubasir Khan took one wicket.
No change was made in the team of Islamabad while 2 changes were made in the team of Lahore Qalandars.
Lahore Qalandars had replaced Zeeshan Ashraf and Dean Foxcroft with Phil Salt and Harry Brook.
