Another Pakistani cricketer tests positive for coronavirus; two more suspected
New Zealand’s Ministry of Health has confirmed that one fresh case of coronavirus was reported in managed isolation in New Zealand on Wednesday.
The person has been identified as a member of the Pakistan cricket squad, however his name has not been revealed. Two more are suspected of contracting the viral disease. “The two other cases remain under investigation,” said the ministry in a statement.
The New Zealand government has not allowed the team to train until the Canterbury DHB medical officer of health determines they were satisfied that any training activities were unlikely to transmit COVID-19.
Pakistan are on tour to New Zealand to play three T20Is and two Tests.
