An absurd twitter account blames Sharia for ruining everything

Religion can be a very sensitive topic for people to discuss about and this twitter account has some weird things to say about Sharia. The twitter account named ‘before sharia spoiled everything’ has mixed up two different things and clearly they don’t know what they are talking about.

Sheikh Mustafa Ismail, a famous Egyptian Quran Qari' (reader) with his family in a magazine. His wife is without a hijab. The article is talking about the talent of his wife in playing piano. #BeforeShariaSpoiledEverything pic.twitter.com/vfWF1frAYf

Social media’s biggest con and pro is the thing that anyone can say anything here, which spreads negativity in the society and sets wrong values in audience’s minds. The relation drawn of sharia in the below tweets is ridiculous

Factory workers’ prom party, late 30s, İzmir, Turkey. They are working class people. Nowadays they are the most conservative part of the community.#BeforeShariaSpoiledEverything pic.twitter.com/UxDRqNV7HX

The thing is people get confused between women empowerment and their choice to dress up however they want. Wearing a hijab in today’s society is not a religious pressure but a women’s choice.

Sheikh Mahmoud Ali Al-Banna, one of the most popular Quran reader in Egypt, in 1966. His daughter did not wear the hijab.#BeforeShariaSpoiledEverything pic.twitter.com/BzsrSbxsfX

If years back girls chose to wear short dresses or smoke it was nobody’s concern just like today but one should not leave behind their cultural values.

The only thing we have to say to this absurd account is that wearing short dresses, not wearing hijab, smoking and partying are not the standards for women empowerment
