Amir Khan vows to avenge Pakistan’s defeat to India

Pakistani-origin British boxer Amir Khan has vowed to take revenge of Pakistan’s defeat at the hands of India.
Amir Khan was watching the match between the arch-rivals at Old Trafford ground in Manchester on Sunday. He was rooting for Pakistan, who could not make it in the crucial World Cup match.
Disappointed by this defeat, he announced to avenge the loss in the fight against Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat next month.
“Pakistan lost to India today #ICCWorldCup2019 come July 12th I will avenge the loss and knock out Neeraj Goyat on our upcoming fight in #SaudiArabia,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
Admitting the potential in the team for victory, the British boxer has also extended offer to help Pakistan cricket team with fitness and dietary, where he thought it was lacking.
“Would love to help Pakistan cricket team with some advice on how to stay fit and strong. How to be disciplined on food, diet and training. The team has talent but need to improve on Strength & conditioning and focus,” he said.
Earlier, the former unified world welterweight champion had told media that Prime Minister Imran Khan would attend his fight against Goyat at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
