Amir Khan visits Peshawar, announces to establish free boxing academies here

PESHAWAR: Pakistani-British boxer Amir Khan has announced to establish free boxing academies in Peshawar during his visit to the metropolis.

Amir Khan said it was his first visit to the city and he felt immense pleasure over meeting people here. Talking to media, he said a lot of people were contacting him from Peshawar to learn boxing.

“The city holds tremendous talent and we are going to establish academies here to teach boxing for free,” he said adding that he wanted to provide children a chance to learn boxing here.

The boxer said he wanted to establish boxing academies in other cities as well. He expressed the the hope that good players would be found in Peshawar who would bring laurel to the country.

“I will try to provide my complete support, if the players here needed any,” he said.
