Amid facing criticism, Deepika Padukone found her Fifa World Cup outfit “perfect”
Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone who unveiled the FIFA World Cup trophy faced backlash on her outfit selection for the mega event.
The RamLeela actress’s fans celebrated their favourite star’s big achievement but at the same time disapproved of her selection of dress for such a big event.
One Instagram user wrote, “She’s gorgeous. But that is an absolutely horrible outfit.” Another post read, “It is really disappointing to see a beautiful woman dressed like this, whatever the brand might be and whoever the designer may be. This dress is a disaster”.
But Deepika had a different opinion and she found her outfit perfect.
The B-town beauty shared a video on social media, in which she expressed her gratitude for being part of the “biggest sporting moment in history”.
In the video, Deepika also talked about the outfit’s designer, Nicolas Ghesquière. She said, “It’s a very special look by my very dear friend Nicolas. And what I love about it is that it is so perfect for what we are going to do which is unveiling the trophy. But at the same time, it’s really comfortable”.
