ISLAMABAD: Ambassadors of various countries and representatives of international organizations will visit LoC today and the delegation will review the violations of ceasefire agreement by India.

Maj. Gen. Babar Iftikhar, Director General, Public Relations, ISPR, Pakistan Army, said that, “Ambassadors from various countries and representatives of international organizations would visit the LOC today.”

The delegation includes ambassadors from Herzegovina, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Palestine, as well as ambassadors from Britain, Italy, Poland, Uzbekistan and Germany.

The officials further explained that, DG ISPR would brief the delegation on the situation at the borders, especially the LOC, while the delegation would look into the violations of the ceasefire agreement by India without provocation. He will also meet the victims of the firing.

The officials added that, “Pakistan has always welcomed the visits of UN military observer groups and diplomats to the LOC and Pakistan has given access to diplomats and observer groups to the local population to observe the situation while in India.”

Foreign ambassadors are banned from visiting the LOC, and military observer groups and diplomats have always been denied access by India.
