Famour e-commerce company, Amazon, will be adding Pakistan in its sellers’ list, Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood announced on Thursday.
The PM’s aide wrote on Twitter: “We have been engaged with Amazon since last year and now it’s happening.”
He added that it was a great opportunity for our youth, SMEs (small and medium enterprises) and women entrepreneurs.
Pakistan has remained excluded from Amazon’s list of sellers. However, after being added, Pakistani retailers can register their companies and sell their products on the platform.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the PM Dr Shahbaz Gill expressed his pleasure over the development.
The SAPM tweeted: “With this development, Pakistan has now joined the international market. This will result in billions in investment and produce employment opportunities.”
