ISLAMABAD: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood tweeted that Amazon had confirmed that Pakistan had been added to its Sellers’ List.
Congratulating everyone involved in the effort in making it happen, he said, “It is a big accomplishment for our E-Commerce and will open up vast opportunities for a new breed of young men & women entrepreneurs.”
This initiative is expected to open new opportunities for all the dynamic and potential entrepreneurs of the country. It is a great leap forward to connect domestic sellers with potential consumer of the world.
Amazon International Seller Services Vice President Eric Broussard said, “We are excited to announce that as of today, Pakistani entrepreneurs are eligible to sell on Amazon. We are eager to work with Pakistan’s dynamic business community, including small and medium-sized sellers and help connect them with customers around the globe.”
On May 5, Abdul Razzak had announced that Amazon will be adding Pakistan in its sellers’ list.
The PM’s aide had written on Twitter: “We have been engaged with Amazon since last year and now it’s happening.”
