ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi on Saturday said Pakistan was again showing its commitment to global cooperation as Pakistan Navy organized multinational AMAN Exercise 2021.
“The naval exercise, being participated by over 42 naval forces, is in line with Pakistan’s vision for regional peace and stability,” he said.
The president congratulated all participants on being part of this flagship event.
Addressing the 9th International Maritime Conference 2021, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi said that the cardinals of Pakistan’s foreign policy had always been non-interference, collective well-being and principled reengagement, which was profoundly visible in Pakistan’s becoming a partner to Chinese Belt and Road Initiative.
“Pakistan believes that Chinese win-win strategy is beyond a state amassing power itself in a chaotic system but it is meant to be a mutually beneficial,” he said.
Amjad Niazi said that the blue economy did not only mean scaling up the ocean benefits but bringing it up with good ocean governance. In the absence of ocean governance, blue economy goals might just intensify degradation of oceans, he maintained.
