KARACHI: In a fresh statement, founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has once again extended apology to the top authorities of Pakistan for his anti-national remarks.
In August 2016, Altaf Hussain had openly spoken against the country, which led to a crackdown against his party. This was actually the point when the military establishment ran out of patience after waiting for a long time for the party leadership to rectify their manners.
“Sometimes one wants to say something and ends up saying another thing. So, one should seek apology for it,” he said in the message on 37th Youm e Tasees of MQM.
He said he had written letters to the military leadership to seek apology over his remarks. He had relayed all the reasons behind his narrative, he also said.
It is pertinent here to mention that the MQM had earned bad name for alleged targeted killings and extortion in the metropolis.
