All tickets for arch-rivals Pak vs Ind clash in T20 World Cup sold out
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has said that all the tickets for the high-octane T20 World Cup match between arch-rivals Pakistan and India have been sold.
The ICC in its statement said that all the tickets for the match between Pakistan and India on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground have been sold out, while the additional standing room tickets were also sold out within minutes.
The ICC said a resale platform will be formally organized as the match comes, where fans can exchange tickets at face value.
The International Cricket Council said that the only a very limited number of tickets remain for first Super 12 round match between Australia against New Zealand on October 22 at the Sydney Cricket Ground, and the double header between Group A runners-up Pakistan and India and South Africa at the Perth Stadium on October 30.
Similarly, there are limited tickets left for the match between Pakistan and South Africa at the Sydney Ground on November 3.
The Cricket Council has said that 500000 fans have bought tickets for the T20 World Cup, the global event to be held on next month.
The 16-nation tournament kicks off on October 16 with Sri Lanka taking on Namibia in Geelong, one of seven venues for the world event hosted by Australia for the first time.
Last year’s T20 World Cup match between Pakistan and India was watched by a record 167 million people on television.
In this match between the arch-rivals, Pakistan created a new history by defeating India by 10 wickets for the first time in the World Cup.
