All six babies born to 25-year-old woman died after a day of birth
All sextuplets (six babies at a time), who were born to 25-year-old Karachi woman yesterday, have died.
Dr. Ayesha Waris of Jinnah Hospital’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Ward said that, last night the woman gave birth to sextuplets, out of which one child was stillborn and five children were alive
The children were shifted to the National Institute of Children’s Health, where the children were placed in incubators.
According to the Jinnah Hospital administration, the weight of the children was extremely low due to which all the sextuplets died.
On the other hand, according to the director of the National Institute of Children’s Health, Dr. Nasir Saleem, the sextuplets born to a woman at JPMC were in a critical condition from the time of birth.
Dr Nasir said that two children died at JPMC while four others died at NICH.
