KARACHI: All Pakistan Textile Mills Association has demanded the government to provide the required 1450 million cubic feet per day (MMCFD) gas to Sindh and Balochistan.

According to details, the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) has demanded that the required gas be provided to Sindh and Balochistan. Sindh and Balochistan provide 85% of 3600 MMCFD.

APTMA complained that the other two provinces were being given 33% of gas production at 1050 MMCFD, but Sindh and Balochistan were not being supplied with the required gas.

According to APTMA, due to low pressure and stagnation, the difficulties of the textile industry have increased. The price of gas should be brought to Rs. 488 per million British Thermal Units (MMBTU).

The All Pakistan Textile Mills Association has demanded approval of its demands.
