All hearings to be postponed due to rising covid-19 cases: IHC

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday (today) has announced to postpone all the hearings, as the positivity ratio of covid-19 keeps increasing in Islamabad.
The IHC has issued a notification, according to which “only important cases, including pre-arrest and post-arrest bails, habeas corpus petitions or detention matters, urgent petitions seeking stay orders, and any matter of genuine urgency, will be taken up.”
Moreover, the decision will be followed till 11 April.
Earlier today, Pakistan has reported 5,234 new positive cases of coronavirus with 83 new deaths across the country, according to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
Total 50,170 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as the positivity percentage was measured at 10.4%.
