Alia Zafar, a Human resource executive has now been appointed as the first female director in the Board of Governors of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
She has been included amongst the four new PCB directors. The others are finance executive Javed Kureishi, economist Asim Wajid Jawad, and corporate executive Arif Saeed. Both Zafar and Jawad are appointed for two-year terms.
The appointment of these four independent members was unanimously approved in accordance with PCB Constitution 2019 Clause 12(1)(c).
The 59th meeting of the Board of Governors in PCB was held at the National High-Performance Centre in Lahore.
Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani said.“I welcome the newly-appointed independent members, especially Ms Alia Zafar, the first female independent member, which is a giant step forward in enhancing the PCB’s governance structure.”
