Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif, along his younger brother and Pakistan Muslim League-N President Shahbaz Sharif, physician Adnan Khan and two servants, had arrived in London for medical assistance via an air ambulance on evening of Nov 19.
The air ambulance had its first stop in Doha where it refuelled and fresh medical and air crew boarded on the ambulance.
“The air ambulance with former PM Nawaz Sharif onboard landed in Doha, Qatar; will depart shortly after refuelling and air and medical crew change for London, UK,” Adnan had tweeted from Doha.
Later, when they arrived in London, he tweeted, “Former PM Nawaz Sharif onboard Qatar Airways Air Ambulance A7-MED has landed safely at Heathrow, London-UK”.

On Nov 19, Federal Minister for Science & Technology Fawad Hussain Chaudhry had expressed his pessimism about the three-time prime minister’s return from London after getting medical treatment.
Lahore High Court had, in a verdict, waived the condition placed by the government to sign an indemnity bond before his going abroad and just made him submit an affidavit in this regard.
Fawad Chaudhry had wondered if the other inmates also had the right to submit an affidavit for their medical treatment and get impunity from jail sentence.
“Other prisoners should also be allowed to enjoy the same facility if law is equal for all,” he had said adding that it felt as if we had two justice systems for rich and poor apart.
