LAHORE: Rock singer, actor, painter, host and a cricket fan Ali Zafar has finally released the much-anticipated unofficial anthem of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020.
The world renown Pakistani artist had created much hype on social as well as mainstream media after he had an off face altercation with pop star Ali Azmat who was the lead vocalist in official PSL 2020 anthem.
The dispute began after Ali Azmat levelled allegation against him of using bloggers to defame their song. This was followed by Ali Zafar’s sarcastic comments and accepting the dare to make a better anthem himself.
In a statement, he had said that his song would be a surprise to everyone.
“The new song is prepared in a short time and will be a surprise for all,” the singer had said.
In the past editions of the PSL, Ali Zafar sung the anthems of the first three seasons. His 2017 tune called Ab Khel Jamay Ga has been the biggest hit of the PSL songs so far. It has also been unofficially declared as the Pakistani’s cricket tune.
This year, Tayyar Hain was released as PSL 2020’s new anthem but failed to garner hits from the fans. Zafar also said, “Everyone will love my new song for PSL 2020 like that of Ab Khel Jamay Ga.”
Let’s know in the comment below how much did you like/ dislike Ali Zafar’s song in comparison with the song sung by Ali Azmat, Haroon, Asim Azhar and Arif Lohar.
