Alcohol dope test mandatory for PIA hosts

Pakistan International Airlines has made pre-flight alcohol dope testing mandatory for air hostesses.
A spokesman for Pakistan International Airlines said that it would be necessary for the staff to undergo a respiratory examination before domestic and international flights.
According to the new orders, alcohol dope tests will now be mandatory for all PIA air hostesses before the flight. The cabin crew deployed on all domestic and international flights will have to undergo a respiratory examination before boarding the aircraft. The purpose of the test is to prevent the use of alcohol and drugs and creams in the crew.
Flight surgeons and medical officers of Pakistan International Airlines will personally inspect the breath of the cabin crew in the briefing rooms. The new advisory issued for the cabin crew of the PIA Medical Division will come into force immediately.
It should be noted that the Civil Aviation Authority has earlier tested pilots and cockpit crew, but now PIA will make it mandatory to test its air hosts before all flights.
