The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority announced that all aircrafts would be thoroughly disinfected before boarding passengers.
On Wednesday, the authority released an advisory to all national and foreign airlines operating in Pakistan.
It directed the companies to add coronavirus to their statements of health forms. “During the flights, all passengers and flight attendants should be provided face masks,” it stated.
The advisory added that critical passenger medical checks should be carried out at airports. Screenings were made compulsory, too.
Pakistan had suspended both international and domestic flights in a bid to curb coronavirus spread. The number of confirmed cases had climbed to 2,025 as of Tuesday evening.
