Aima Baig reveals why she sang Kaifi Khalil’s “Kahani Suno”
Renowned singer Aima Baig says that she sang Kafi Khalil’s super hit song ‘Kahani Suno’ because her heart was broken and the lyrics of the song were very similar to her situation.
A few days ago, Aima Baig released her version of Kaifi Khalil’s hit song “Kahani Suno” but social media users disapproved of her cover and said, “she ruined the vibe of the original song”.
However, now Aima has told in an interview why she sang this song in her own voice.
The singer said, “The moment I heard Kaifi’s song, I fall in love with his voice and composition of the song”.
“The lyrics of the song were similar to my situation at that time and that’s why I sang this song because my heart was broken, which is now mended”, Aima added.
She further said that “As soon as I heard the song, I contacted Kaifi and said I want to cover your song. Kaifi is a very nice and beautiful person, he said do what you want to do with my song. I also want to hear it in your voice”.
“Kaifi’s song has helped me to heal from a hard phase of my life. I didn’t have proper words to express my feelings at that time but when I heard Kaifi’s song and the lyrics, I thought he is saying the same thing I wanted to express”, the singer concluded.
