Preparing simple meals with all the necessary equipment in your home
kitchen may be a daunting task for some but this Pakistani adventure chef
likes to cook in the wild during travelling.
Ahsan Arshad from Islamabad is known for cooking different cuisines like desi food, Italian, Chinese and fast food outdoors, especially in the woods.
While talking to a local news channel, the self-taught adventure chef told why he likes to cook food in the mountains despite lack of usual facilities and services.
“I have always been fond of cooking which eventually evolved into adventure cooking. I do cook at home but now my focus is on the latter which I’m currently pursuing as a profession,” he said.Source: ARY
Irshad shared that there is a big difference between cooking on gas and on the wood, the taste also varies when cooked in the wild on wood.

Many people like to make desi food especially karhai or barbeque outdoors, but Ahsan loves making fast food. His social media posts are full of his burgers that he has made.
“For me, its quite easy to make burgers in the wild at least because I have made it a couple of times.”Source: ARY
Although the cooking process is slow for example, Ahsan explained.
Regarding disposal of waste, he said that it is the duty of all to keep the environment safe.
“One must take things which doesn’t need to be disposed. There are multi-purpose cooking tools and utensils available in the market.”Source: ARY
Ahsan hasn’t started making desserts yet in the wild but “cheese cake” will be the first one he will try.
