The court has told NAB to explain one reason why Iqbal has been jailed by the office. The investigating officer may also complete the investigation in various ways, Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked.
The prosecutor of the NAB told the court that the office fears Iqbal will be traveling abroad and attempting to destroy evidence in the case. The chief justice said Iqbal’s passport was seized by a NAB cam. Instead of arresting him, put his name on the ECL, the judge added.
He asked the office whether suspicion is sufficient to arrest anyone.
