Afro-American woman sings ‘wo ishq jo humse ruTh gaya’

An Afro-American female worker at a beverage store has sung ‘wo ishq jo humse ruTh gaya’ song in a very soulful voice.

This song has been sung by different famous singers including Pakistan’s Farida Khanum and Sajjad Ali. Lyrics of the song were written by Athar Nafees.

Here are the song’s lyrics taken from Rekhta:

vo ishq jo ham se ruuTh gayā ab us kā haal batā.eñ kyā

koī mehr nahīñ koī qahr nahīñ phir sachchā sher sunā.eñ kyā

ik hijr jo ham ko lāhaq hai tā-der use dohrā.eñ kyā

vo zahr jo dil meñ utaar liyā phir us ke naaz uThā.eñ kyā

phir āñkheñ lahū se ḳhālī haiñ ye sham.eñ bujhāne vaalī haiñ

ham ḳhud bhī kisī ke savālī haiñ is baat pe ham sharmā.eñ kyā

ik aag ġham-e-tanhā.ī kī jo saare badan meñ phail ga.ī

jab jism hī saarā jaltā ho phir dāman-e-dil ko bachā.eñ kyā

ham naġhma-sarā kuchh ġhazloñ kī ham sūrat-gar kuchh ḳhvāboñ ke

be-jazba-e-shauq sunā.eñ kyā koī ḳhvāb na ho to batā.eñ kyā
