A delegation of Afghan Taliban arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday(today) for a three-day visit.

The motives behind the visit are related to ongoing Afghan Peace Process especially Intra-Afghan negotiations between the Afghan government and the Taliban.

During the visit, the Taliban delegation will hold meetings with Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in which the matters of mutual interest will be discussed.

The delegation is supervised by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, head of the Taliban’s political office in Qatar including eight members as a part of the delegation.

This is the third time that Mullah Baradar have visited Pakistan as Taliban and Afghan government took a 20-day break from their negotiations taking place in Doha.

According to international observers Pakistan has a great role to play in Afghan Peace Process.
