Action has been taken against 25 schools in Swat for opening educational institutions ahead of schedule.
The Swat Private School Management Association had announced that all educational institutions would be reopened from August 15. Under this announcement, private educational institutions were opened after which the administration took action.
Deputy Commissioner Swat said that the private school association had been informed in advance not to open educational institutions before the stipulated time.
However, this was not done. He said that he would recommend cancellation of registration of schools violating the law.
Ahmed Shah, president of the Private Schools Association, has condemned the action against the schools. He said that cases were being framed by arresting teachers and schools in the constituency of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were being discriminated against.
Ahmad Shah asked if teaching children is a crime. He said that if the administration did not stop the activities, they would stage a full-scale protest.
