Acting Speaker Qasim Suri accepts resignations of 123 PTI lawmakers in assembly
ISLAMABAD: Acting Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri has accepted the resignations of 123 PTI lawmakers in National Assembly.
In a statement issued on Twitter, Qasim Suri said that the resignations of 123 members of the National Assembly of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) received by him as the Acting Speaker National Assembly have been accepted under rules and regulations.
Earlier, after the success of the no-confidence motion against former Prime Minister Imran Khan, the PTI had announced its resignation from the National Assembly after Shahbaz Sharif became the Prime Minister.
