Accused of killing a Newlywed for resisting a robbery, Committed Suicide.
Karachi: The accused who killed newlywed Shah Rukh for resisting during a robbery on Kashmir Road in Pakistan Employees Cooperative Housing Society (PECHS) area of Ferozeabad, committed suicide before his arrest.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police East Qamar Raza Jaskani, the police party of Special Investigation Unit raided a restaurant in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7 to arrest Ali Farzand Jafari, a suspect in Shah Rukh murder case.
He said that after seeing the police during the raid, the accused suddenly pulled out his pistol and shot himself in the compartment. The deceased was a police constable stationed in West.
According to police, the police officer who committed suicide was identified with the help of CCTV.
Police said that CCTV footage of the accused was also obtained from other cameras from different angles while a raid was carried out on the information of the presence of the accused in Gulshan-e-Iqbal with the help of modern technology. Last week, a newlywed Shah Rukh was shot dead by a police constable Ali Farzand Jafri while resisting a robbery outside a house near Kashmir Road.
